Orange you glad I am sharing this recipe with you?  Hehehehe….
I was looking for a quick and easy dinner recipe for the boys to eat while I was at work for my three days, and this recipe sounded like it would be a hit with my Panda Express loving boys. Â Added bonus that this recipe does not require heating the house up while making, since we are utilizing the Crockpot! Â I don’t how the weather is where you are at, but it is HOT here.
Minimal prep work is needed…so if you have 10-minutes, then you have dinner that can finish making itself while you are off doing something funner than slaving over a kitchen stove!
Crockpot Orange ChickenPrint Recipe
- 4-5 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks
- 3/4 cup sweet orange marmalade
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
In a large skillet on the stovetop, over medium heat, brown the chunks of chicken. Chicken does not have to be completely cooked through, just cook until the chicken is mostly cooked. Remove pan from the stove and drain any liquid from the pan.
In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the marmalade, BBQ sauce, soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Place the chicken in the crockpot and pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring the chicken and sauced is mixed together. Put the lid on the crockpot and cook on low for 3-hours.
Sauce may look thin after it is done coking, but it will thicken up later. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Serve with rice and broccoli or with a cauliflower rice vegetable mix! Â Whatever your family likes.
